If you’re a new pup-parent, you may be unsure of how to pick up your puppy. The most common and safe way to pick your pup up is to use a supportive hand under their chest and hindquarters. Our expert dog trainer, Bill Miller, is well versed on picking up a puppy from its scruff. This is typically the way mama dogs pick up their puppies and a good way to neutralize a puppy when they’re too excited.
