Training Your Puppy In and Out
If you ask new puppy owner’s one of their biggest fears, they’ll tell you it’s seeing their precious little pup bolting out the front door never to be seen again. If your house is like mine, you know there is no way you can keep all your doors secure at all times. Eventually one of the darn kids (or dad) will open the door and not think about the puppy… and that’s all it takes.
When training new puppies I always make sure to include in our routine, the proper way to go in and out of the door. The key is to teach the pup that just because the door is open, doesn’t mean they can go through it (until you tell them). Take a look at the video below.
